This oil on … Read more Painting XIX ''Boats In Port'' French School H.Delpech'' Large painting representing boats in a port ( Bordeaux?). This oil on canvas is signed by the painter Hermann Delpech born in Bordeaux in 1865, died in 1918, dated 1886. Hermann Delpech was a pupil of Dupuis in Bordeaux and then entered the School of Fine Arts in Paris where he trained with Gustave Boulanger, Jean Léon Gérôme and Léon Bonnat. He regularly exhibits at the Paris Salon and also in Bordeaux. He is a landscape painter (Bordeaux and Arcachon region), genre, still life and flowers. His works can be found in the museums of Bordeaux and Cognac in particular. This painting benefits from a very beautiful frame (see photos).
