The chair was probably designed by Thonet. This is likely the basic version of the chair without any decoration. The set was produced by the Austrian architect/designer Josef Hoffmann. Both chairs have the original cast iron joints ("Eisenstütze") between seat and rear legs. In original condition. This piece has an attribution mark,
