It is an ironic allusion to Belgian politics. This divisible rug represents the Belgian contours in the colors of the Belgian flag. Dotted lines show the owner whether to cut or not. The rug comes with a custom set of scissors. The rug is made of high quality wool and a special technique ensures the rugs’ survival after being split. This rug is number 4 of a limited edition of 5 pieces. ‘If dividing Belgium was that easy, we probably wouldn't be the ‘proud’ owners of the ‘longest time a country has had no government’ record. Young Belgian designer OS-KAR found a source of inspiration in the political deadlock and created ‘O deelbaar België’, ‘O divisible Belgium’.’ Designed in 2012, still actual in 2020. See less
