a striking zone pendant lamp designed by jo hammerborg and produced by fog & mørup in denmark in 1969. This model was introduced as part of the company’s celebrated “rainbow line” (regnbue linie) series, reflecting the bold colour experimentation and refined geometric forms of late danish modernism and the space age era.

the lamp features a distinctive three-part metal construction, consisting of a vibrant red upper shade, a white inner reflector ring, and a contrasting grey lower band. This layered structure is both sculptural and highly functional, directing light downward while also creating a soft reflected glow within the shade.

hammerborg, who served as head of design at fog & mørup from 1957 to 1980, was known for his precise geometric forms and innovative use of colour. The zone pendant represents one of his most recognisable late-1960s designs and remains highly sought after by collectors.
