This iconic table lamp by Elektrosvit was very popular during the 1960s. They were produced by Elektrosvit as a type 215 07 01. The designer was Jan Suchan. The lamp was also called the Astronaut lamp to reflect the 1960s popularity of space especially in Communist Czechoslovakia. The lamp is fully made of plastic. There are two parts to the lamp, a red shield and white plastic inside tube. The red shield is adjustable by swirling it either way to the side. This adjusts the intensity of the light. The lamp works on a standard small bulb and European plug. Very good condition. One other lamp available. This piece has an attribution mark,
