The interior lined with elegant brass coat hangers. Excellent vintage condition. An interesting example of mid century Italian design In 1952 Umberto Mascagni created a new way of producing furniture using new materials such as PVC and anodized aluminium. This was provocative considering the market at that time. His furniture was sold by Harrods, London, 1952-1955. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
