Portuguese origin, was born in 1953, lives in Brazil and arrives in Paris in 1978 where she starts studying Arts Story Her numerous trips around the world (Africa, Europe, Asia and Latin America ), allow her to maintain free mind and to connect different cultures in her work. Figurative, expressionist/symbolist, she keeps spontaneity which is assurance of sincerity of the first sensation. Based on photos and travel notes, she translates her taste for all those powerful colors which will be part of her works. Her works - paintings and sculpture - sing Life, Joy, Love and capture emotion. Maria Teresa Bertina has various works in private collections.
