Good condition. Brass wheels on bottom. Top rotates and opens to extend. A handsome pair of Empire period flip-top game tables featuring richly figured crotch mahogany with dramatic flame grain and deep, warm coloring. Each table features a rectangular hinged top with softly rounded corners, supported by a gracefully shaped pedestal resting on a substantial, stepped square base. The bold proportions and restrained architectural details beautifully reflect the Empire aesthetic.

The folding tops open to provide generous playing surfaces, while their compact closed form makes them equally attractive as occasional tables flanking a fireplace or anchoring a seating area. A particularly appealing pair with striking wood grain and a strong sculptural presence.

Overall in good antique condition, with some wear to the finish, scattered minor dings, and surface marks consistent with age and use. These signs of wear contribute to their antique character without diminishing their overall beauty and decorative appeal. Dims Game table 3’ long 18’’ deep 29 1/2 tall. Open 3’x 3’. Selling See less
