A refined and spectacular pair of two-light wall sconces in finely chiseled cast brass, embellished at the center with oval porcelain medallions featuring high-relief bouquets of roses. These refined period lighting pieces date back to the 1940s.
· Subject and Style: Vertical pilaster strip structure surmounted by an elegant fluted love-knot bow and closed at the base with a decorative tassel, enriched by two vegetal scroll arms with faux candle holders arranged on either side of the central hand-molded porcelain medallion.
· Material and Finish: Heavy cast brass with an authentic and warm gold-burnished patina; polychrome enameled porcelain medallions with raised floral decoration; back with a wall-mounting bracket and working electrical wiring.
Ideal for: Stately living rooms, entrances, formal hallways, master bedrooms, and collectors of vintage Art Nouveau or Neoclassical lighting.

Condition: Very good overall condition for the period, in its original state. Solid, sturdy, and sound brass structure, free of cracks, with a pleasant natural patina. Porcelain medallions and rose sculptures are intact with very slight losses as shown in photographs, free of structural damage and showing normal, minor signs of aging consistent with their age; electrical system is present and functioning.
