Both the cups and the saucers bear an engraved Made in Italy mark on their bases, confirming their Italian origin. The set was produced by a company bearing an engraved “F F” logo, which we have been unable to identify, and dates with confidence to the 1970s. The cups feature a particularly distinctive design, reminiscent of the iconic Smoke glasses designed by Joe Colombo, whose curved, crescent-shaped stems were conceived to allow the user to hold a cigarette while enjoying a drink. This unusual detail gives the present set a similarly playful and unmistakably 1970s character. The entire set is in good original vintage condition, with only minimal signs of use, suggesting that the pieces have been used very little. See less
