Early to mid-1800s chest of drawers in maple and pine. The top and drawer fronts are maple, with the drawer faces sequentially sawn. The rest of the case is pine, including the drawer bottoms, each made from a single chamfered board measuring 17” x 39.5".
It features square nails, plus a few wire drawn nails from later work. Sometime in the last 100 years, the chest was updated with Chippendale-style brasses and bracket feet.
