An exceptional, investment-grade mid-century Latin American artwork. This is an authentic, original 1970 watercolor and ink painting by celebrated Venezuelan naïve artist Lourdes Armas (1922–1977). Hand-signed and dated "70" by the artist, this sprawling, highly intricate village scene captures the joyous storytelling and brilliant disregard for rigid perspective defining the historical Arte Naïf movement.
The piece arrives beautifully presented in its original, high-end vintage custom frame by elite Virginia gallery framers Buchanan & Kiguel. Complete with a double mat, elegant gold-toned metal channel frame, and the original boutique foil backing label, this piece is designer-ready to immediately anchor a modern, transitional, or global gallery wall.
