The Scandinavian design movement of the mid-twentieth century distinguished itself through its rejection of unnecessary ornament, favoring clean geometries, organic hues, and functional calm. While historic Swedish flatweaves traditionally defined this aesthetic, modern adaptations translate those principles into finely textured pile carpets, combining traditional loom artistry with contemporary luxury. Crafted in India using hand-spun wool intermixed with lustrous natural silk, this new creation reinterprets postwar Nordic textile language for the modern home.
