A graceful and elegantly elongated wood carving, perfect for adding a touch of Asian refinement and musical heritage to your decor. Crafted from boxwood (Huangyangmu), the piece features a warm, honey-amber patina and a smooth, polished finish.
The sculpture depicts a slender, graceful woman dressed in a traditional Chinese Qipao (cheongsam). The dress is form-fitting with a high slit at the bottom and a flared hem, decorated with delicate carved floral motifs (likely plum blossoms) along the side and hem. She holds a traditional Chinese lute, the Pipa, vertically against her chest, her fingers poised as if ready to play. Her hair is styled in an elegant updo, and her facial expression is serene.
The carving emphasizes the natural beauty of the wood grain, while the refined details of her dress, the instrument, and her posture reflect exceptional craftsmanship. This is a stunning display piece for a music room, a dining room sideboard, or a collector's shelf.
