An exceptional and highly collectible French Art Deco silver-plated and rosewood tea and coffee service on its original matching octagonal tray. Designed circa 1936 by the celebrated modernist designer Luc Lanel for Christofle, this stunning ensemble perfectly encapsulates the avant-garde spirit of French Modernism with its clean geometric architecture, faceted silhouettes, and streamlined contours.
This complete 5-piece service features the iconic carved solid rosewood handles and includes a coffeepot, a teapot, a sugar bowl, and a creamer pitcher, all beautifully showcased on the monumental octagonal serving tray with integrated rosewood grips.
The pieces feature official vintage Christofle master stamps, silver plating weight grades, and 500ml volume capacity marks. The coffee pot, sugar bowl, and creamer carry the full written Christofle name signature, while the matching large teapot prominently features the stylized Luc Lanel L designer mark on the base.
Please note that this set is historically complete as designed; these specific Luc Lanel vessels were manufactured with a sleek, minimalist open-top rim profile and do not require lids.
