The title of the work stems from … Read more ‘Everything’s Rosy’ is a unique contemporary created using the artist’s own Lacera technique. The title of the work stems from the familiar response to the simple question: ‘How are you?’ - ‘Everything’s rosy’. A light-hearted, carefree façade, yet the former integrity is now impossible. And in this vessel, fragility becomes not a weakness, but a form of inner strength. Its fractures and joints seem to preserve the memory of what was broken, altered, and reassembled differently - and yet continues to exist, preserving itself. The form visually resembles an unopened rosebud. Here, the artist leaves room for the viewer’s own reflection. ‘All in a Little Rose’ is about that strength which is not always visible. About the ability to hold on, not because nothing has happened, but in spite of what has happened. Where overcoming has become a form. The artist’s proprietary cellulose-composite clay allows for the creation of light, delicate and visually fragile forms, whilst possessing high archival durability, and will delight the collector and their descendants for generations to come.
