Combining functional engineering with the restrained aesthetics of the bauhaus and machine age movements, this vintage industrial fixture represents the practical elegance of prewar european design. The lamp features an articulated accordion-style metal arm that extends and retracts, allowing the light source to be positioned according to individual requirements. Its substantial mechanical construction, visible pivot joints, and original metal components reflect the utilitarian character of historic industrial workshop lighting. The adjustable black enamel shade provides directional illumination, while its gently curved form creates an appealing contrast with the geometric scissor mechanism. A particularly attractive feature is the authentic aged surface of the original metal construction. The naturally developed patina, surface oxidation, and traces of historic use emphasize the lamp’s industrial heritage and contribute to its distinctive visual character. The vertical wall-mounted support and adjustable scissor mechanism create a strong architectural presence, making the lamp equally suitable as functional task lighting or a decorative statement piece. The design complements industrial lofts, bauhaus-inspired interiors, contemporary residential spaces, and collections of early modernist lighting. The lamp has been electrically rewired while retaining its original vintage appearance.
