Extremely rare lounge chair + ottoman, model F592, designed by Geoffrey Harcourt in 1966 for Artifort Netherlands.
Originally Harcourt designed the chair with this fantastic base and only around 100 pieces were made. In 1967 Artifort decided to change the base to a tulip base which remained in production many years after. Most likely because this was easier and cheaper.
To find this first and by far most beautiful edition together with the matching ottoman and in their original black leather is very special.
The base is made of chrome plated wire metal with black lacquered wooden feet.
This amazing chair is super comfortable, especially together with the ottoman.
The set is in good and fully original condition. The leather of the chair has some traces of use/light cracquele at the sides of the seat. The ottoman has a tiny loss of chrome at the base. Both visible in the photos. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
