This is a striking pair of vintage carved stone guardian lions (Foo Dogs), classic symbols of protection and prosperity in traditional Asian culture. Expertly carved from stone with a weathered, rustic finish, the figures feature intricate detailing in their curly manes, expressive faces, and muscular bodies.
Subtle traces of red and polychrome pigment remain in the recessed areas, adding to their antique character. Each lion is seated upon a sturdy, rectangular plinth base.
These substantial pieces are perfect for flanking a doorway, framing a garden path, or as striking statement accents on a bookshelf or entryway table.
