Elegant ceiling and window lamp designed by Jo Hammerborg for the Danish Fog & Mørup. A neat pendant lamp with a clear geometric design, where opal glass, matt grey lacquered metal and a red lacquered inside come together in an expressive whole.
The cylindrical shade is framed by a tall, narrow top in silver-coloured metal with a brushed finish. The red inside provides a decorative colour accent, while the white opal glass dome spreads a soft and pleasant glow. The design of the shade helps to screen the light source and reduce glare.
with a diameter of only 14 cm, the lamp is particularly suitable as a hanging window lamp, where it provides atmospheric lighting above the plants and ceramics on the windowsill. It also works as a smaller ceiling pendant above a side table or in a corner that needs a warm light. The combination of strict lines and contrasting materials goes beautifully with teak, natural textiles and Scandinavian interior design.
Jo Hammerborg was the chief designer at Fog & Mørup between 1957 and 1980. His sense of proportion, materials and light contributed to the manufacturer's success in Danish lighting design.
