This spectacular flush mount features dozens of long, gracefully curved stems radiating from the center, each bearing hand-chiseled leaves with serrated edges, interspersed with twelve tulip-shaped gilt bulb holders. The result is a lush, sculptural crown of gold that casts beautiful leaf-shaped shadows on the ceiling when lit. At 100 cm (39.4 in) in diameter, this is one of the largest and most complete examples of this iconic Spanish model, which is far more commonly found in 50 to 70 cm sizes. Handcrafted with hammered and chiseled iron leaves, each one slightly different. Gold leaf gilding with a lovely warm patina and gentle wear on the edges consistent with age. Ideal for a dining room, living room or entrance hall with limited ceiling height, it can also be used as a pendant chandelier. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
