The pair is crafted with flat rectangular tops with chamfered edges set above a splayed apron with a cut-out skirt. The canted corners descend into rectangular legs ending in small block feet. The pair is decorated with stylized Chinese river and mountain landscapes with sailing junks, temples, bridges, trees, and nature. The carving cuts visible through the ebonized finish to reveal the warm natural wood underneath. The decoration continues on all four sides and legs. Crafted in a Chinoiserie style, with a weathered and distressed patina the versatile pair is functional as stools, low tables, end tables, display pedestals, or plant stands. Sold as a pair.
