These beautiful table lamps exemplify the mid 20th century, orientalist aesthetic, specifically the popular Turkish-style brass metal work, imported or produced during the 1940s. The peace is characterized by its intricate pierced gallery and hand, hammered texture, which adds depth and visual interest to the warm, patina brass surface.
Collectors value these lamps for their decorative versatility, fitting well into eclectic, bohemian, or mid-century modern interiors. The craftsmanship reflects a traditional artisanal approach to metal-work that was highly sought after in the post war export market.
