The richly distressed surface reveals layers of aged paint and warm natural wood beneath, lending the piece wonderful character and an authentic English country-house aesthetic.

The chest features a classic configuration of two short drawers over three graduated full-width drawers, each fitted with contrasting cream-painted wooden knobs. The simple, elegant form rests on turned bun feet, adding a lovely decorative detail to its otherwise understated design.

Constructed of solid pine, the chest retains a traditional wide-plank back with visible shrinkage between the boards, consistent with 19th-century construction techniques. The beautifully worn painted top, softened edges, and naturally distressed surfaces speak to generations of use and contribute to its rustic charm.

A wonderfully versatile piece, equally suited to a traditional English country interior or a more contemporary setting. Perfect for a bedroom, entryway, or living room, where its rich color and characterful patina can add warmth, texture, and a sense of history. See less
