This small chest opens with a raised lid, with protruding corners. These corners are embellished with fine polychrome decorations, representing traditional Asian collective scenes. In its center, the opening is embellished with a drawing partially erased with time, which does not detract from the charm of the object.
The sides of this box are framed with golden nets underlining the scenes of the Japanese daily life.
The flap is equipped with a functional lock and its original key.
Once opened, the box reveals a storage compartment composed of different sized compartments and two small lids with golden arabesques.
