The lid features an ornamental relief composition, dominated by a heraldic shield of polychrome leather adhered to the wood, surrounded by carved motifs of heraldic inspiration.
Its rope-like moldings, sloping planes, carved vegetal motifs at the corners, and the perimeter base ornamented with reliefs are particularly noteworthy.
The front incorporates a lock with its corresponding key, integrated into a carved ornamental element.
The wood has a dark tone and an attractive patina that enhances the depth of the carvings and the character of the piece. See less
