Awesome 1970s or 1980s vintage novelty table serveware from the famous American glassmakers at Anchor Hocking. From their highly celebrated and timeless coastal collection, this matching set of heavy pressed clear glass dinner plates and matching master serving platter is uniquely shaped like whimsical fish. Each piece features a completely smooth upper dining or serving surface, while the reverse side is deeply molded with a wonderful, tactile texture that forms detailed scales, ribbed gills, and flowing fins.
An absolute staple for summer seafood boils, backyard fish fries, pool parties, or beautifully displayed in a vintage beach house hutch or kitschy kitchen display!
• Brand: Anchor Hocking
• Pattern: Fish / Poisson Style
• Era: 1970s / 1980s
• Material: Heavy Pressed Clear Glass
• Made in: USA (Stamped with "OVEN-PROOF U.S.A." maker's mark on the rim)
Measurements:
• Platter: 15.7” Length (Mouth to Tail) x 11.3” Width x 1.4” Height
• Dinner Plates (4 included): 10.5” Length (Mouth to Tail) x 8.05” Width x 1” Height
Condition:
Good vintage condition. The clear glass bodies are remarkably bright, glossy, and clear with no cloudiness or filming. Please note two character flaws common with vintage pressed glass: One individual dinner plate has a small, stable, tight hairline crack near the bottom edge. The large serving platter features a rough, textured mold seam along the lower edge containing at least one small, smooth fleabite chip. Both issues are structural and do not detract from the beautiful display quality or casual use of this coastal set. Please review the targeted macro close-up photos for exact condition details.
