Its relatively fine wood top is designed with a Tab cut and molded in a Corbin beak honed on its edges.
This piece of furniture opens with three drawers arranged on three rows and with visible crosspieces. With an identical depth of 15 cm, they are richly embellished with important bronze handles and entrances, in the Rocaille spirit, original and authentic. Each of these drawers is equipped with a working lock and key, later than the rest of the chest.
The bottom and side rails are moved and underlined by the same uninterrupted molding.
The front jambs of this piece of furniture are quarter round, fluted, and finished in ''Pieds de Biche''. The back legs are more modestly cut.
The sides are composed of recessed panels with slightly worked edges.
The inside of the drawers are in Fir wood and entirely period.
This chest of drawers and its 250 years of history will amaze you with the unusual mix that makes them so special: the sobriety of the lines typical of Port Furniture, combined with the opulent ornamentation more frequently found on urban furniture.
