The composition features a rich display of a traditional molded kugelhopf cake, a partially peeled orange, fresh grapes, a delicate crystal compote filled with berries, and sliced cheese on a tabletop. Standing at 25 1/4 tall, 29 1/4 wide and 2 inches deep, this piece was made in the 1940's. The piece is presented in an exceptionally ornate, heavy gilt wood frame decorated with intricate floral and scrollwork molding that adds a dramatic, elegant presence to any wall. Ideal for a traditional dining room, kitchen, or gallery wall display. I found this piece from a dealer in the great rocky mountains while vacationing there for the weekend. What a nice find for you.
