A set of three Ethan Allen counter stools from the Country French collection (item #26-6530, finish 236), with their original labels. Each stool has a wheat-sheaf back with fan spindles under a curved crest rail, finials on the back posts, a hand-woven fiber rush seat, turned front legs, and double stretchers. Ethan Allen branded them "Made in America" on the seat rail.
Dimensions (each stool): 17" W x 17" D x 42" H. Seat height is 26", and the seat is 17" wide x 15" deep. They suit a standard 36" kitchen counter or island.
Condition: The frames are solid, and the top surface of every rush seat is intact, with no breaks or unraveling. They have not been refinished. Condition by stool, all shown in the close-up photos:
- Stool 1: a small chip at the top of one front leg, and a scratch running down the same leg.
- Stool 2: finish wear at the top of one back post near the finial. Underneath the seat, a few rush strands have separated, leaving gaps. The top of the seat is unaffected.
- Stool 3: light scratches on one back post, and a small reddish mark on the front right of the seat.
All three also have light surface scratches and nicks from normal household use.
