Nice Box of Rectangular section, in Black Lacquered Wood, designed in the Asian taste in the current of the XIXth … Read more Nice Box of Rectangular section, in Black Lacquered Wood, designed in the Asian taste in the current of the XIXth century.
It opens above by a Lid with Curved Reliefs, with corners with Taper cut in Half Round. These corners are embellished with fine Oriental Polychrome Decorations, representing Flowers and Scenes of Japanese life. In its center, the Opening is embellished with a drawing representing certainly a City, partially erased with time.
The sides of this box are framed and underlined by two golden nets.
The lid is equipped with a functional lock and its original iron key. Once opened, it reveals a 7 cm deep storage compartment.
The Set rests on fancy feet in Golden Wood.
One will appreciate the Artistic Delicacy of which benefited this Small Original Chest. You will be able to arrange your personal effects there such as your Jewels or to use it rather like a Decorative Object.
