Their hallmark is a bold, geometric central design featuring large, multi-pointed (often eight-pointed or serrated-edge) star medallions—commonly called Lesghi stars or “Stars of Wisdom.” These stars are typically arranged in a vertical row (often three to five) down the center of a dark field (frequently deep indigo or midnight blue), sometimes with nested or radiating geometric elements, small floral motifs, diamonds, or other tribal devices filling the surrounding space. Now the one you see here, could be the best example for what a super quality antique Lesghi star should look like.
