A whimsical and beautifully crafted Italian ceramic fish serving dish designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi, circa 1960s. Expertly handmade and hand glazed in Italy, featuring a sculptural elongated silhouette with divided serving compartments.
The richly textured surface showcases a striking palette of soft pink, coral, deep blue, and black, with intricate geometric patterns and expressive hand-painted details. The playful composition and exceptional glaze work are characteristic of Londi’s celebrated approach to Italian modernist ceramics.
A wonderful example of mid-century Italian design, equally compelling as a functional serving piece or decorative ceramic sculpture.
Very good vintage condition with one small, professionally executed color correction repair to the underside of the tail.
