A seated figure whose lower body catches the light, while the upper half almost dissolves into a dark space. The work feels intimate, like glimpsing someone sitting in a dimly lit room. Seen from a distance and without context, all that remains are loose forms in brown and red-orange on a grey floor. Ink, watercolour and pencil flow into one another, giving the work a feel that is both sketched and carefully considered. See less
