Vintage 20th Century German silver plated cocktail shaker modelled in the form of a streamlined Zeppelin airship with a distinctive Art Deco inspired silhouette. Designed both as a decorative object and a functional bar accessory, the body opens to reveal a cleverly concealed group of cocktail making implements including measures, a corkscrew, ice catcher and pouring spout. Each component fits neatly within the aerodynamic form of the shaker, reflecting the German tradition for precise, space saving design. Marked on the side "D.R.G.M." (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster).
