Shaped top featuring brass arabesques against a red tortoiseshell-effect ground. Central figural panel surrounded by scrolling foliage and ornamental motifs. The top unfolds to reveal a green baize playing surface within an ornate decorative border. Useful storage compartment beneath the sliding top. Shaped frieze centred by a gilt metal mask mount. Raised on elegant cabriole legs with figural mounts and gilt metal feet. Black borders contrast beautifully with the richly patterned surfaces. An impressive piece for a drawing room or games room.
