Space age wall lamp by hoso hoffmeister, germany, dating from around 1960. The fixture combines a broad, ufo-shaped glass diffuser with a compact black mounting structure. The glass is held away from the wall, creating a pronounced floating profile and allowing light to spread both through the diffuser and around its perimeter. Its circular geometry and contrast between the pale glass and dark support give the lamp a distinctly space age character. The shallow projection and large 41 cm diameter make it suitable for use as either an individual wall light or a strong architectural accent. Dimensions: 21 cm (h) × 41 cm (ø). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
