A spectacular, monumental-scale matched pair of vintage Postmodern style ceramic table lamps manufactured by the iconic Casual Lamps of California (some people call the company Coastal Casual Lamps of California). Officially stamped and dated 1989 on the reverse, these architectural statement lamps showcase the zenith of late-80s Southwestern Memphis design.
Each massive, wide-bodied "amphora" style pottery base features a striking contrast of finishes: a vibrant, high-gloss turquoise/teal drip glaze cascades dramatically over a heavily textured, matte peachy-sand lower basin that beautifully mimics raw desert stone. Each lamp retains its original heavy loop side handles and clean brass fittings.
Standing an impressive 20.5" tall and spanning 13" wide across the ceramic bases alone, these behemoths offer an incredible visual presence. They are perfect for anchoring a long mid-century credenza, a chunky plaster console table, or flanking a grand master bed on oversized nightstands. A highly collectible, authenticated pair that seamlessly bridges organic warmth and bold Postmodern edge.

Excellent vintage condition. The heavy sculptural ceramic bodies are structurally sound with no chips, cracks, or post-factory structural damage. The original high-gloss and matte glazes are beautifully preserved, clean, and vibrant with only very light, minor surface marks consistent with age and gentle handling. The black protective felt on the bases is intact. All original factory-pressed hallmark stamps ("Casual Lamps © 1989") are crisp and legible on the lower reverse rim. Both lamps are fully functional and in excellent working order with original cords. (Note: Shades are not included).
