These pieces are highly prized examples of traditional Mexican folk art.

Worked in the Mexican hojalata tradition, the handmade tin frame features raised flowers, scrolling foliage, and a scalloped border using stamping, embossing, and repouss metalworking techniques around the mirror glass. Above, two angels flank a dimensional crown topped by a small cross, set against a fan of individually formed pointed rays.

The layered metalwork gives this piece depth and character, while its aged metallic finish catches the light beautifully. A distinctive focal point for an entryway, above a small console, or within an eclectic gallery wall.
