Mamluk revival 'Cairoware' brass tray table with genuine silver inlay. The 26-inch round tray carries three large Arabic calligraphy cartouches inlaid in silver, over a hand-engraved arabesque ground with a central floral medallion and hexagonal knot medallions. It rests on its folding six-leg spider stand in bobbin-turned wood — a complete, working tray table, about 22 inches high.
The brass keeps its original, unpolished patina. Condition, as shown in the photos: a small green oxidation spot on the tray face, verdigris streaks along the rolled rim edge, and a small crack in the end grain of one stand leg; the stand shows honest wear and one leg has a metal glide. No maker's mark was found on the back, and the exact age is unverified — it is offered as a Mamluk revival piece in the Cairo/Damascus tradition.
