Handcrafted from premium original ore purple clay (Yuan Kuang Zi Ni), it features a rich, deep brown-purple hue with a smooth, matte texture.

The teapot is sculpted in a naturalistic "eggplant" (Qie Duan) shape, featuring a curved body and a handle designed to mimic a textured vine. The lid knob is shaped like a realistic eggplant stem. The body is beautifully decorated with incised motifs of a cicada resting among clouds. The bottom bears the maker's mark "Gu Jingzhou".

With a capacity of 300ml, this is a functional piece for brewing tea as well as a stunning sculptural object. Over time, Zisha clay develops a beautiful patina when used with tea, making it a cherished collector's item. It would make a sophisticated addition to any tea lover's collection or a striking piece of Asian decor for your home.
