The curved frame, cabriole legs, and framed drawer fronts are clearly proportioned on a small footprint, and the natural wood top provides a calm contrast to the lacquered body. Historical context: in the 20th century, forms of the french rococo were widely reproduced as reproduction furniture, particularly in the style of rural french furnishings. After the second world war, such furniture combined historical design language with the smaller floor plans of new apartments. Narrow chests of drawers of this type were usually placed in the bedroom or hallway and served to store linens and small household items. Features: the drawer fronts feature symmetrically arranged, carved leaf ornaments within curved frames. The top panel is a blind panel, revealing the three drawers beneath.

The defining features are the curved lines of the frame with its central shell carving, the front cabriole legs with volute feet and acanthus overlay, and the rocaille fittings.
