The dog’s alert posture and dark patinated surface create a vivid counterpoint to the lamp’s pure spherical light.


the german shepherd sits upright beside the globe, with pricked ears, an attentive expression and carefully modelled fur. Its compact sculptural form gives the lamp an animated presence even when switched off.

when illuminated, the opaline glass softens the bulb into a warm, atmospheric glow. The rectangular marble base, finished with canted corners and natural veining, grounds the composition and reinforces the contrast between animal sculpture, polished stone and geometric light.

very good vintage condition. The opaline glass globe and marble base are intact, without chips or cracks. The german shepherd figure is firm and complete. Subtle surface variation and signs of age remain visible on the patinated metal and marble.
