Books, ceramics and collected favorites are accompanied by spacious cabinets and drawers, in a piece of furniture that you can shape to suit both the room and the life around it.

poul cadovius was one of the danish designers who made wall-mounted storage an obvious part of the modern home. System cado was launched in 1960 and built on his idea of freeing up floor space and letting furniture take up space on the wall. The characteristic wooden shelf supports give the system a cohesive expression where even the supporting parts become a beautiful part of the shape.

here, the warm tone of the teak and the vibrant grain of thin shelves, slim wall rails and cabinet doors with finely framed fronts meet. The four drawers of the chest of drawers have cado's characteristic handles that run along the fronts and create a beautiful horizontal rhythm. The display cabinet with glass doors and glass shelves adds lightness and becomes a nice place for glass, porcelain and small collections that deserve a little extra attention.

the system consists of six wall rails in teak, two base cabinets with doors and an internal shelf in each cabinet, a chest of drawers with four drawers, two upper cabinets with doors and a display cabinet. One upper cabinet has two internal shelves and the other has one, which provides plenty of space for storage at different heights. In addition, there are 16 open shelves in three different depths. These are accompanied by teak shelf supports that hook into the wall rails.

the great thing about cado is the freedom to change. Cabinets and shelves can be moved and combined in different ways, with denser storage in one place and more air in another. Leave room for a painting or a wall-mounted tv, gather your favorite books or give a few well-chosen objects plenty of space. There is room for both order and personality here.

in the arrangement shown, the system is just over four meters wide and will be a real eye-catcher in the living room, dining area or office. The parts can also be divided into several smaller arrangements. With the six wall rails, the system can be divided into two or three free-standing wall systems, for example, depending on how the parts are placed. A piece of furniture with many possibilities, even when needs change!

several shelves have labels with the text "made in denmark", and the marking is also stamped on the back edges.
