the hand-blown glass has an organic, atmospheric quality, with the white inclusions resembling soft clouds suspended within the transparent surface. The curved shield silhouette gives the lamps a sculptural presence, characteristic of the expressive materials and clean forms found in scandinavian lighting design of the period.

each glass shade is secured to a handle-shaped metal wall strap using two knurled thumb nuts. White external caps conceal the fixings on the face of the glass, creating a neat, considered finish. The metal mounting straps feature two pre-fabricated holes for wall installation.

both lamps retain their original el-light denmark glas design labels, providing a direct link to the original manufacturer.

when illuminated, the textured glass creates a softly diffused, decorative effect, while the clear areas allow light to pass through and reveal the organic cloud-like patterning.
