Crafted in Italy during the 1980s, this extraordinary modular table lamp exemplifies the bold, utilitarian spirit of industrial design. Composed of five independent cube-shaped modules—each measuring 5.91 × 5.91 × 5.91 in (15 × 15 × 15 cm)—this cluster can be arranged in unlimited configurations to suit any environment. The powder-coated metal modules are finished in a striking canary-yellow hue, each folded into a “C” shape that forms a top canopy to diffuse light and a bottom platform to cast direct illumination downward. A circular aperture in the upper face houses a black porcelain socket, compatible with vintage-style filament bulbs or modern LED equivalents. Exposed black cabling weaves between modules, reinforcing the authentic workshop aesthetic of the period.

When grouped tightly, the modules create a single sculptural form; when spread apart, they become five distinct light sources, allowing the user to experiment with both function and composition. The robust metal construction—original finish intact—displays subtle traces of age, including gentle patina and minor surface wear, all of which attest to its genuine 1980s provenance. Perfect for a design collector, a creative studio, or a loft setting, this lamp is a rare opportunity to own a piece of authentic industrial-era lighting that remains fully functional and endlessly adaptable.
