Italian table lamp from the 1970s, designed in the style of New Lamp and characterized by a striking geometric composition in metal, Perspex and opaline glass. The structure is organized as a compact architectural cube, with a rectangular metal base supporting a transparent Perspex enclosure around a spherical opaline glass diffuser.
When illuminated, the central globe produces a soft, diffused light while the surrounding Perspex surfaces create reflections and repeated circular forms, giving the lamp a strong sculptural and optical presence. The contrast between the rigid cubic structure and the perfectly rounded glass sphere is highly characteristic of Italian Space Age and experimental lighting design from the 1970s.
The lamp combines decorative impact with a distinctly architectural character and works particularly well as a statement table lamp in Mid-Century Modern, Space Age or contemporary interiors.
The piece presents signs of age and wear consistent with vintage use.
Dimensions: Width 24 cm / 9.45 in; Depth 24 cm / 9.45 in; Height 38 cm / 14.96 in.
Opaline glass globe diameter: 17 cm / 6.69 in.
