Dramatic vintage DeLizza & Elster (Juliana) brooch and earring set featuring smoky black diamond navette rhinestones, brilliant clear chatons, and oversized faceted crystal stones in a dimensional starburst flower design.
The brooch matches a documented example in the curator-reviewed Is It Juliana archive (reference IIJJ-009717), presented there in a different colorway. The construction matches features of DeLIzza and Elster manufacture with directly affixed pin to back, solder puddling, and open-back navette design on both brooch and earrings.
The accompanying earrings share the same black diamond navettes, clear center stones, silver-tone settings, and overall design aesthetic, creating a beautifully coordinated presentation. While I have not located documentation confirming original sale as a factory set, the pieces were acquired together and complement one another exceptionally well. The color palette is among the most versatile and wearable of Juliana's rhinestone designs, pairing dramatic sparkle with elegant neutral tones.
Era: Mid-century, circa 1960s
