A beautifully refinished expandable walnut dining table with three large leaf extensions, made in the United States c. 1960s. The tabletop sits on an uncommon split pedestal base crafted from figured walnut.
With the three included leaves, it expands from a 48 inch round to a 119 inch pill, accommodating 10 guests comfortably. The spider-leg base expands with the table in order to maintain stability at all sizes, with an additional support in the center to prevent bowing.
The table has been fully refinished in a durable satin lacquer and shows beautifully, with minor cosmetic imperfections visible only on close inspection. The extension slides work smoothly.
