The chest is in its original and very good condition. It is made of solid camphor wood and brass. Beautiful fittings and details. Unique and original, brass lock from which the bell comes out while opening and closing the box. The chest probably participated in many war campaigns, which caused frequent relocation of the chest and military furniture. Very good and beautiful workmanship proves the high class of the box.
